Robin is one of the best home decor bloggers that we have ever seen. She takes on really big projects and executes them flawlessly. She recently redid her entire backyard, her kitchen, and her master bathroom. This lady is ambitious! One of my personal favorite, is her catching fireflies lantern project where she took mason jars and made an incredible string light piece.

Q: How many years have you been blogging?

I’ve been blogging for 9 years.

Q: What is your favorite Interior Design project that you’ve ever done?

Our kitchen remodel was by far the most fun project that I’ve done.

Q: Which project are you most proud of?

I’m happy with all of our house projects but the kitchen is truly the heart of the home so I’m going with our kitchen makeover.

Q: What does a day in the life of an interior decor blogger look like?

Planning, social media, writing and some days photographing my work. But most importantly, I have to have downtime or I lose my creative mojo.

Q: What is the greatest tip that you could give to our readers?

Don’t underestimate the value of expressing yourself in your home. Beauty, comfort, and a strong sense of place are well worth the effort.

Q: What is the hardest thing about interior design?

Confidence. There are so many options that second-guessing myself can be paralyzing.

Q: If you had to do it all over again, what would you do differently?

Being a little kinder to myself. In the past, I tended to beat myself up if I got finished with a project and then later wanted to make changes. I’ve learned that a space doesn’t always come together immediately.  It’s okay to finish and then come back to the project later with a fresh perspective. Our homes are an expression of ourselves, always changing and more beautiful because of those changes.

Q: What do you think had the biggest impact on making your blog a success?

Maybe my definition of success! I’m not the biggest or the best design blog by a long shot. But my hope is to inspire someone to create a beautiful sense of space in their own home.
